I'm back

Internet has been down and I've just been too busy to get to the library during library hours. what have I been doing ......

  1. Shopping at Target. these folks are sick of seeing me LOL. I've been rolling that $5.00 gift card over and over and over. First it was the poptarts, then it was the kashi deal, and now cheerios. I did better on the kashi deal with $2.00 coupons. But the cereal deal has the kids in heaven. Lot's of honey nut and original boxes. I just can't wait to see what this weeks deal is. I still have a $5.00 gift card.
  2. Roof is on but insulation and ceiling are not. First it was money and now it's time. My hubby coaches a JV sport here and it's home coming week and I have 2 high schoolers with dates and flowers and dresses etc....... Also every day is a costume day, everynight its a game, a parade, a pride and spirit event. (ENOUGH ALREADY) so the interior is getting put off till next week.
  3. Working crazy stupid hours. not alot of hours just jumbled in dumb time slots that throw the whole day off.
  4. Had fight with hubby about weight. of course we are not talking about his. I joined weight watchers. Before you think it came from the fight it didn't. I started this journey last year and then medical issues came up. I was training with the couch to 5k program and at work I broke my foot. it's been 6 months now and it still hurts. really hard to exercise with that going on. Bronchitis for over a month and lovely steriods to go with it. Depression over son leaving still has undercurrents of coming back. (meds helped weight gain on that too.) I'm just on a do-over. the fight just kinda sealed the deal.
  5. So I'm on the CORE plan. Can't talk about it or Florene might show up at my door with a hand full of candy or something? I will say I entered all my food the day I joined. It was not pretty. I have 35 points for the week and I ate 75% of them on day 1. I didn't know what the plan was I just entered them as that day. Gave me a real eye opener and alot of work for the rest of the week. It's ok. I'll figure this out. lost 3 pounds already this week, day 4. Water water whatever. Ok I lost 3 lbs of water and I'm good with that :)
  6. Getting caught up on 2 weeks of emails---- yikes.

I'm all wet

Yep it's been a really wet week at home with no roof and 4 days of rain. I have managed to also knock out many outlets so I'm not on the net at home and trying to squeeze in some time at the library. More later. If I can afford the new gas gouging prices

When it rains, it pours.....

Last night when I came home from my AWESOME walgreens trip where I got a new food processor for $4.19 cents. whoo hoo! I used a 4.50 register reward for it, had to add in some candy to bring the total up but who cares. I got some other stuff too that my *price adjustment* paid for. I bought a clock IPOD radio thingy for $39.99 on Friday. Sunday it goes on sale for 29.99 Manager looks at me like I'm from another planet when I asked if I could get the difference back. 3 days. It's not like it was from last year. 3 days ago I bought this. She says no. I said ok I'll just go home and get it, bring it back. Magically she changes her tune, $10 here you go.

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!! so I'm gleaming all the way home. It's down pouring. I get in the house still jazzed and I'm wet. Get all dried up and realize there is water everywhere in my entry way. I am freaking out on my youngest daughter. Did YOU leave the door open? what were you thinking as I'm cleaning it up. DRIP on my head. a moment of silence, to comprehend what just happened. CRAP! my ceiling is leaking. I poke it with a broom handle. (note to self .... don't ever do that again!) the ceiling gives way to buckets of water. So much for being dry. Hubby ends up taking Huge amounts of insulation and drywall down.

He looks at me and says do you want sky lights ?
Funny.
Hey I saved $10.00 today and turned around and spent it. LOL.
My debt just got alot bigger.

Love the Kashi !

So Target has been playing with my budget the last 2 weeks.

Last week, The kelloggs/keebler deal

I started with a 10 gift card then it got fuzzy after that..... I'll be drudging through my reciepts for an actual total later.

I can tell you I have
7 boxes of Poptarts
3 boxes of Yogos
3 loafs of bread
3 packages of cookies. I did use a few coupons, I did have out of pocket, and I do still have $10.00 left in giftcards.....

Untill the Kashi deal came out yesterday. I had been informed therefore armed and ready for some cereal. I like the crackers too but no coupons for them. I was disapointed as my target only carries . 3 types of cereal. I only like 2 of them. I did not need 8 boxes of 2 kinds like I had planned. That's alot of cereal and I'm the only one eating it. I think I may need some reciepes.
  • 2 boxes of Go Lean Crunch Honey Almond Flax
  • 2 boxes of GO Lean Crunch Orignial

deal 4/$11.00 (and get a $5.00 giftcard) - I added a yoga ball set that I've been eyeing for a while it was clearaced for 9.98 (was 19.99) I can't wait to use the small ball in my exercises.

20.98 - 10Gift card - 4 $1.00 coupons = 6.98 + tax I'm ok with that :)

I forgot I also got I recieved a $5.00 giftcard to use next time...... oh lord what will next week bring?

Morning Smoothie

Before you wrinkle up your nose at this one, it really is good!

1 frozen banana (I cut it up and put it in a baggie in the freezer the night before)
1 cup of light soy milk
1 cup of spinach (yeah I wrote spinach!)
blend

YUM

Tastes like banana and only looks an interesting color of green. I go to work in the morning in the dark, so I could care less what color it is :) I wasn't hungry until 11am or so, and I have lunch at 11:30 so it worked out great.

I've tried with a spoon of peanut butter. (also yummy) Next I'd like to try peaches as I'll have alot soon.

Cucumber Salad

I thought I'd share one of my favorites. Why munch on potato chips when you can eat this? I just pull out the cucumbers and eat.

Sliced cucumbers tossed with rice-wine vinegar make for a refreshing and simple summer salad.
