Kroger deals this week are crazy. I managed to do the buy 10 and get $5.00 back instantly 8 times so far and I think I'm going back again today. for the record 197...... +2 from last week. or as I like to say .... back to the beginning
Ok Back to journaling. I'm not counting as we don't do that on core, but I just am not eating enough (or maybe it's I'm not eating enough of the right foods?) I also just am not that hungry. I'm tired though too much water I'm up all night. Things gotta change.
I've got PSSST coupons !

so really it took me a month to lose 2 lbs. bah humbug. well by Christmas I should be down oh what a total of 6 lbs. the other day a lady was on the ww site touting how she lost 20+ lbs in 3 months. I don't think I like her. show off is what she is.
Still moving and grooving though. Last night I sat through 2 hours of freezing cold watch my son play 4 minutes of freshman football. How many calories does shivering use up?

TARGET - VITAMIN WATER
Deal: buy 10 vitamin waters (or smart water) for $10.00 basically 10/$10 BUT you get a $5.00 gift card back (on the spot, no forms no mail, cashier hands it to you)
Of course I still have a $5 card left from the cereal deal so
$10.00 - 5.00gc= $5.00 for 10 and got another $5.00 card. My college son is coming home this weekend and LOVES these.
Since I got 20 I'm sitting on two $5 cards. ahhhh maybe another trip this week ????
I also noticed that the sign said something like total amount must be higher than gift card. Hmmm I guess that means coupons would be out of the question. I made out great on the kashi, the general mills cereal, and pop tarts with coupons. I hope the fun isn't coming to an end
Say it Ain't so ... Weigh in Wednesday
I don't care what the scale says. I know I've lost inches over the last 3 weeks. Hubby noticed. (Doesn't notice much but noticed that)
I'm going to check tommorrow just in case the scale thinks it's tuesday or something.
PS weight watchers is missing me. everyday I get an email about re-joining. Rejoin a site that isn't working??? hmmm let me think about it.
**** the message boards are all lit up about it being a mess and not working.

Weigh-In Wednesday Week 2
Busy busy week. I've been on plan for most of the week. Yeah. I made a journal with check boxes. Probably make one on the computer and make copies but for now during my downtime waiting for son to finish football practice, I just wrote it all out in a little .59 cent mini notebook. Much better than the $40 monthly weight watcher fee. It's working for me. Weigh in was this morning big ceremony in my bathroom. Just me and the dog. Tada. 194.7 whoo hoo. GAINED .7 pounds. It's ok I'm in day 3 of TOM so really just .7 really? it's going to be great to see what next week is. Mr BLOAT will be gone. Can't say I feel like any weight is gone, but that is still the bloat feeling. I just got a tip about apple cider vinegar. I don't know what I'm supposed to do with it. Drink it? Well I am soaking some cucumbers with white vinegar and splenda, so I'll slice some up and add apple cider vinegar instead of just white.
- Question for the day. What does vinegar have to do with water weight?

I'm back
Internet has been down and I've just been too busy to get to the library during library hours. what have I been doing ......
- Shopping at Target. these folks are sick of seeing me LOL. I've been rolling that $5.00 gift card over and over and over. First it was the poptarts, then it was the kashi deal, and now cheerios. I did better on the kashi deal with $2.00 coupons. But the cereal deal has the kids in heaven. Lot's of honey nut and original boxes. I just can't wait to see what this weeks deal is. I still have a $5.00 gift card.
- Roof is on but insulation and ceiling are not. First it was money and now it's time. My hubby coaches a JV sport here and it's home coming week and I have 2 high schoolers with dates and flowers and dresses etc....... Also every day is a costume day, everynight its a game, a parade, a pride and spirit event. (ENOUGH ALREADY) so the interior is getting put off till next week.
- Working crazy stupid hours. not alot of hours just jumbled in dumb time slots that throw the whole day off.
- Had fight with hubby about weight. of course we are not talking about his. I joined weight watchers. Before you think it came from the fight it didn't. I started this journey last year and then medical issues came up. I was training with the couch to 5k program and at work I broke my foot. it's been 6 months now and it still hurts. really hard to exercise with that going on. Bronchitis for over a month and lovely steriods to go with it. Depression over son leaving still has undercurrents of coming back. (meds helped weight gain on that too.) I'm just on a do-over. the fight just kinda sealed the deal.
- So I'm on the CORE plan. Can't talk about it or Florene might show up at my door with a hand full of candy or something? I will say I entered all my food the day I joined. It was not pretty. I have 35 points for the week and I ate 75% of them on day 1. I didn't know what the plan was I just entered them as that day. Gave me a real eye opener and alot of work for the rest of the week. It's ok. I'll figure this out. lost 3 pounds already this week, day 4. Water water whatever. Ok I lost 3 lbs of water and I'm good with that :)
- Getting caught up on 2 weeks of emails---- yikes.
Select Harvest Soups - Review.
Review #1. Garlic Pototao. - Yuck. I love potato soup. I don't even like this.
Review #2 Chicken Noodle. Alittle bland but I'd get it again
Review #3 Mexican toritlla soup (I can't remember the entire name) AWESOME. I really liked this I'm trying to switch to whole wheat grains but I'll splurge on the white rice in this one.
Review #4 Tomato basil. - later this week

I'm all wet
Tuesday, September 9, 2008
When it rains, it pours.....
YEAH!!!!!!!!!!! so I'm gleaming all the way home. It's down pouring. I get in the house still jazzed and I'm wet. Get all dried up and realize there is water everywhere in my entry way. I am freaking out on my youngest daughter. Did YOU leave the door open? what were you thinking as I'm cleaning it up. DRIP on my head. a moment of silence, to comprehend what just happened. CRAP! my ceiling is leaking. I poke it with a broom handle. (note to self .... don't ever do that again!) the ceiling gives way to buckets of water. So much for being dry. Hubby ends up taking Huge amounts of insulation and drywall down.
He looks at me and says do you want sky lights ?
Funny.
Hey I saved $10.00 today and turned around and spent it. LOL.
My debt just got alot bigger.

Love the Kashi !
Last week, The kelloggs/keebler deal
I started with a 10 gift card then it got fuzzy after that..... I'll be drudging through my reciepts for an actual total later.
I can tell you I have
7 boxes of Poptarts
3 boxes of Yogos
3 loafs of bread
3 packages of cookies. I did use a few coupons, I did have out of pocket, and I do still have $10.00 left in giftcards.....
Untill the Kashi deal came out yesterday. I had been informed therefore armed and ready for some cereal. I like the crackers too but no coupons for them. I was disapointed as my target only carries . 3 types of cereal. I only like 2 of them. I did not need 8 boxes of 2 kinds like I had planned. That's alot of cereal and I'm the only one eating it. I think I may need some reciepes.
- 2 boxes of Go Lean Crunch Honey Almond Flax
- 2 boxes of GO Lean Crunch Orignial
deal 4/$11.00 (and get a $5.00 giftcard) - I added a yoga ball set that I've been eyeing for a while it was clearaced for 9.98 (was 19.99) I can't wait to use the small ball in my exercises.
20.98 - 10Gift card - 4 $1.00 coupons = 6.98 + tax I'm ok with that :)
I forgot I also got I recieved a $5.00 giftcard to use next time...... oh lord what will next week bring?

1 cup of light soy milk

YUM
Tastes like banana and only looks an interesting color of green. I go to work in the morning in the dark, so I could care less what color it is :) I wasn't hungry until 11am or so, and I have lunch at 11:30 so it worked out great.
I've tried with a spoon of peanut butter. (also yummy) Next I'd like to try peaches as I'll have alot soon.

Walgreens special Friday & Saturday
Healthy Eating starts tommorrow!
Well no if's and's or gigantic butts about it. School starts this week and I'm going to continue my mission. Last fall I decided it was time and I was going to lose 30 lbs by June. well lets just say 2008 was a test. I discovered I have a problem with sugar. Not the mindless cookie eating. More like diabetic. I got a meter and tested and lost weight and all was good. I just had some tweaking to do. I lost 10 lbs struggled with it. I won't lie. After the holidays that were more stress than I care to chat about I started a couch to 5k program. I walked/jogged/ran on my treadmill ALOT. It didn't seem to help the weight except by keeping it even. I calorie counted with a couple of on-line sites. Nothing was working. Then on March 24 I fell at work and broke my foot (well it wasn't a full break more like a chippy slice and a really wrench foot muscle) that put me back alot. As a matter of fact I still have daily pain just walking 5 months later. I really wanted to walk the CRIM this year but I can hardly get to the mailbox these days. In late May I came down with an ugly case of bronchitis. So along with working full time, going to physical therapy several times a week, I also had to get breathing treatments. I have 4 kids and planning an open house for the oldest. Lets just say the summer has been one big food fest with out much exercise or cares. The countdown begins! I'm going to be 40 years old this winter and I'm going to lose 40 by my birthday. My fat pants are too small and my health is horrible. It's time for a change.Tuesday, August 26, 2008
The college update
Money saved this month ?????
So this month has really been a blur. I just spent the last hour digging through my bottomless purse in search for receipts.
- *Rite Aid sent me an email that they were sending this months since I forgot to request it. (HUH? months not over, I'm not done shopping LOL) Ok well I guess I'm out those items, I have yet to enter.
- * Walgreens after much searching I think I'm getting back a dollar ($1.00) yeah me. 4 bottles of herbal essence. 4 bottles of axe got me 2 movie tickets so I can't complain. I got a bottle of free nail polish, 2 free pedicures/or/manicures since I bought the correct 4 bottles of herbal essence, I wheeled and dealed and got 2 bags of hershey's bliss for a dollar each. YUM. + I may have qualified for the $5.00 rebate with some other candy purchases. I'm sure I saved with other coupons and register rewards I just didn't keep track this month.
- Cashcrate sent me a check for $24.00 and some change. awesome. stupid surveys but worth it, I guess. (see link on side if you want some free cash)
- bought a printer through ebates and recieved 2.20 back. click & print and went to pick it up at circuit city. I also saved $20.00 from an on-line coupon. Not a bad deal.
- Not alot of savings but every little bit helps

College Moving Day
Hungry Girl's Grab & Go Breakfast Cookies
PER SERVING (1 cookie): 154 calories, 1.5g fat, 166mg sodium, 32.5g carbs, 5g fiber, 10.5g sugars, 5g protein -- POINTS® value 2*
These things are large, fiber-packed, portable, and SOOO DELICIOUS!!!! Make a batch in the PM, and you'll have super-quick b-fasts for the next few AMs!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup regular oats (not instant)
6 tbsp. whole-wheat flour
1/4 cup Fiber One bran cereal (original), ground to a breadcrumb-like consistency in a blender or food processor
1/4 cup Splenda No Calorie Sweetener (granulated)
1/3 cup Gerber Peaches (or another brand of pureed peaches, found in the baby food aisle) (NOTE I just used regular peaches all mashed up)
1/4 cup canned pure pumpkin
1/4 cup fat-free liquid egg substitute (like Egg Beaters Original)
1 tbsp. golden raisins
1 tbsp. Ocean Spray Craisins (original)
2 tbsp. brown sugar, not packed
2 tsp. Coffee-mate Sugar Free French Vanilla powdered creamer
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. salt
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Chop raisins and Craisins into small pieces. Set aside.
In a mixing bowl, combine the oats, flour, Fiber One crumbs, Splenda, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well.
In a separate bowl, dissolve Coffee -mate into 2 tbsp. hot water. Add all other wet ingredients (pureed peaches, pumpkin, and egg substitute), and mix well.
Add liquid mixture to the dry ingredients, and stir until completely blended. Slowly sprinkle chopped raisins and Craisins into the batter, making sure they don't all stick together.
Spray a large baking pan with nonstick spray, and spoon batter into 4 evenly spaced circles. Spread batter out a bit with the back of a spoon. Place pan in the oven for 12 - 14 minutes (until tops of the treats are just slightly crispy). Remove pan from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Then grab 'n go!
MAKES 4 SERVINGS
HG Alternative! If you don't feel like whipping out the blender to grind that Fiber One, simply leave the F1 crumbs out of the recipe. Your cookies won't be as high in fiber, but they'll still taste great and clock in with a POINTS® value of 2* each.

TGIF
I can't believe it's FRIDAY. Yahoo. I'm up early, snooping to see if my check was deposited in the bank. Big problem with another division in our company not getting paid. (YIKES) mine is there. Thank goodness cuz I can't live off my rite aid rebates this week. (12.00 & change) I'm off to my son's college today. They say they have a job for him. Hot Damn. Making the drive 2 hours away to sign up is crazy, but a moms gotta do what a moms gotta do. Besides I have other issues with them and they are gonna wish they would have taken my info over the phone. (evil laugh insert here) Seriously they have met with him and has is application. He will be working in the dining hall. Not rocket science here. If he would like a job he needs to sign our clipboard. ARGH!!!!!!!!!!

College shopping & Walmart
Yesterday I went to Walmart to get these *extra special sheets* for my son. See I keep getting these fliers from the University, that he needs these extra special sheets. The cost is ridiculous. I mean really ridiculous. A little searching goes along way. I found the same darn ones at walmart for $7.50. I could buy 10 and still save from the price of 1 in the fliers. (YIKES!!!) well my trip was a bust, as I couldn't find them and inquiry with the staff was horrible. We kept calling and calling for assistance and no one would come. WHATEVER. I almost complained at the service desk but the line was too long. I'm a firm believer of voicing my complaint and walking out. I will not buy. Well darn it. Rules had to be broken. the kid needs sheets. (he wont use them properly but he WILL have them) I felt like punching that darn happy face of walmarts. I'm not violent, jeez it's just sheets LOL.
SO for revenge sorta... I came home and went to EBATES (more about ebates at the end) I got my sheets and my 2% cash back. AND free shipping as I made the order ship to store. HA. Sorry but some cashier is going to loose her job the more people do this. I work in retail, I know. I more Internet orders that come in take away from floor staff. Long story short. I have a little over 30 days to get him ready and I have a feeling ebates is going to be sending me a nice check this fall for all the shopping I'm about to do. Really why not? Ebates will pay me for stuff I was already going to buy. (smile)
